THE 'ERIC' PHENOMENON

Twenty years ago we toured a production of a 60s musical called ITCHYCOO PARK.  One of the venues on the tour was the New Vic Theatre in Newcastle-under-Lyme.  The show went very well there and the Summer week was a complete sell-out.  After reluctantly agreeing to return the following year - we hadn't planned to tour another 60s musical then - a couple of new characters were introduced, a middle-aged loser and his not-very-bright nephew, a new script was written and Eric was born.  After returning annually, three years later we found ourselves performing for three weeks in the Summer and introducing a new, different show for a couple of weeks pre-Christmas.

Now, having celebrated our 20th anniversary, we have completed 39 different 'Eric' productions,180,000 tickets have been sold taking nearly £3 million and it's still going strong.  No, I don't understand it either but, whether performing in it or watching it, it's the best fun you can have with your clothes on!

The next show is THIRD TIME LUCKY, ERIC and should be on stage at the New Vic from 03-15 May 2021.

If you've never seen one, give it a go!
